Creating an ad campaign for Aishti

Sagmeister & Walsh to create an ad campaign that turned the department store's recognisable orange gift box into the visual focus

Sagmeister & Walsh created an advertising campaign for Aishti, a luxury department store in the Middle East, with headquarters in Beirut. The studio honed in on Aishti's signature orange gift box, making it the visual centerpiece of the campaign. The box was turned into an object of luxury, becaming a symbol for the brand.

The campaign was launched in 2010 with a single image of the orange gift box. Over time, the campaigns have evolved to abstracting the box, or using the box as a building block for new imagery. Campaign imagery has been used in newspapers, magazines, billboards, and window displays in the Middle East.
