You can choose to enter your portfolio into one of three categories. Design & Communication, Illustration or Animation.
Below is a description of the kinds of projects that could be in portfolios entered for each. If you have any questions at all regarding these categories email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll quickly get back to you with a response.
Your portfolio must include four projects. Each project can include multiple elements to demonstrate it in full. At least two of your projects must be client work. Client work is defined as work you were paid to do. You can read more about eligibility and what to enter here.
Design & Communication
This is the category in which to share great design projects of all shapes and sizes. Portfolios might include graphic design, product design, packaging design, identities and branding projects, design for advertising, editorial design - encompassing books and magazines, design for the web, graphics that have found their way into moving image contexts, annual reports and brochures, design for direct mail, album sleeves, posters, signage, wayfinding and other such applications.
All styles of illustration are welcomed in this category. Portfolios may encompass traditional and contemporary styles and techniques. Physical image making is invited alongside 2D work. Illustrative projects can be executed in any medium, or combination of media whatsoever.
Portfolios showing traditional or contemporary styles of animation are invited into this third category, or indeed combining styles. Stop-frame and other technique driven, live action blending projects are welcomed. When submitting entrants are welcomed to share links to where work can be seen online to avoid large file upload issues.
