YCN — Free to members

At this half-day workshop, writer and editor Anna Kiernan will guide a group through some core principles of storytelling and their application to modern digital channels.

This hands-on, interactive and memorable session will itself feel like an unfolding story; examining the historic potency of storytelling through its application in all manner of advertising and communications channels. Anna will lead the group through some examples of proven principles in practice, bringing them to life in various digital contexts and channels. The session is aimed at anyone working within a marketing, brand or other context; interested in how 'the power of stories' can be harnessed in their communications. Everyone coming along will be armed with a current challenge or opportunity, to get stuck into within the group.

You’ll learn to:
- Understand how stories work and come up with sticky ideas.
- Map out your story ideas across different platforms.
- Capture and share your brand's unique tone of voice through your content.
- Imagine your story from different audience perspectives.
- Think about how to repurpose your assets more effectively.

A go-to toolbox of techniques to help you build your brand and digital profile.
Practical advice on how to get started with stories immediately, along with big idea inspiration.
