Studio Managers
Learning Group | Dishoom Carnaby Street — For members

This latest session bringing studio managers together to share their experiences, challenges and opportunities will focus on the relationship of the role to new business

We began this group last year, regularly bringing together studio managers to air and share learnings in relation to the role, as well as new ways of working. At each session we invite someone along to share their relevant expertise, around which they kickstart the conversation.

In our last session, we heard from Cat Turner, co-founder of member agency Cult LDN. Having tried and tested a number of different marketing techniques with her team, Cat kickstarted the conversation with an external perspective, sharing the valuable lessons she has learned from what has and hasn't work for the agency.

Joining our group for breakfast at Dishoom on the 15th of March will be Gunpowder Consulting's Lucy Mann. Lucy has considerable expertise across agency new business and marketing, and for more than 20 years, has helped creative companies build their new business capabilities. By implementing a series of simple processes, she helps agencies establish a regular stream of new opportunities. She'll explain why this approach is more effective than pushing new business periodically, and where she feels there are ripe opportunities for those within organising and managerial roles to effectively support the work that founders and principles do – to get both new work, and more work from existing clients.

Here's a short film we recently made with Lucy, on point to the topic.
