Libby Sellers discusses her new book, Women Design
Talk | YCN Library — For our members

On 6th September, we will be joined by Libby Sellers in the YCN Library to hear about her new book, Women Design.

Design historian, consultant and curator, Libby Sellers, is the author of the new Women Design book — a celebration of 120 years of female designers, from architects to digital innovators.

The last year has seen women's marches across the world, symbolic movements of female empowerment in the entertainment industry and the approaching centenary of the first women's right to vote in the UK; redressing the balance between the genders is, once again, a focus and theme in all of our lives.

Libby's book explores and celebrates the work of pioneers and modern day trailblazers, with 21 profiles of women designers in a male-dominated industry, complete with archival imagery and beautiful examples of contemporary and conceptual design.

Joining us in the YCN Library on the evening of 6th September, Libby will be sharing insights from her book, as well as from her own expansive experience as a highly accoladed curator, author and cultural entrepreneur.
