Two's Company — Talking about strategy
Talk | YCN Library — For our members

Start your day strategically in the Library at YCN, with some smart thinking and thought-provoking conversation from Jim Carroll and James Lees.

We’ll be joined in the Library at YCN on the morning of 14th August by James Lees and Jim Carroll, who will share their perspectives on the purpose of strategy in creative business, and the ways that we can ‘be more strategic’ in our thinking today.

James is a creative strategist at Sword and Stone, and co-founder of Group Think — a thriving community dedicated to sharing knowledge among the next generation of strategists, “from advertising planners to experience strategists, media planners to strategic consultants and everything in-between”.

Jim is a “long serving strategist” and former chairman at the communications agency BBH. Jim has been a generous contributor to all issues of the YCN members’ magazine, and writes a weekly piece on ideas, culture and business at his own blog here.

Jim and James will share some observations on their discipline, before opening up conversation to pull in broader questions and perspectives on the topic. If you work in strategy-related role, or are interested in finding out more about the role of strategy in business, we'd love to have you along.
