Led by regular keynote speaker, author and change consultant Mark Shayler — this day long session is for those seeking to super-size their presentational skills.
Many of us don't look forward to speaking publicly. But we're often called on to do so — formally, informally, to big groups or small ones — in the hope of getting people on board to our point of view. And we all instinctively know a good public speaker when we see one; they make it look easy, and seem so natural doing it.
But if we want to get better, where do we begin?
Ultimately it's all about being you, and over the course of this full day workshop, in the charismatic company of Mark, you'll discover how to put more of you into any kind of presentation. And you'll take away techniques that will boost your confidence, and help you learn to love the experience.
What we'll cover:
How to relax and be yourself in the limelight
Making slides work, or how to work without them
Learning the role of the script
How to hold yourself
The power of the pause
Understanding your audience
Dealing with questions, or what to do when there aren’t any
How to project energy and keepi in time your audience
How to prepare so you won’t forget
How to end
How the session will be structured:
Expect an energising and practical day which will begin and end with everyone in the group giving a short presentation. This is filmed and we'll send you your footage by follow up, so you can see the progress made. Over the course of the day you'll be individually guided by Mark, and will take part in practice and discussion in pairs and groups. You’ll enjoy a mix of sharing, listening and doing — and a healthy lunch of course.
Who the session's for:
Anyone who wants to refine or build upon their existing presentation skills, whether you have a coming presentation in mind or not. Groups are limited to a maximum of 15 people.
"For anyone who wants to grow their confidence when presenting, and learn some simple frameworks for structuring killer talks and presentations, this is an unmissable workshop, led by a presenting grand master." — James Rutter, Head of Brand, COOK
