Leading Now: Coaching in Practice

A half-day workshop with Liz Whitney to build on and practice skills learnt in our Coaching Mindsets workshop.

Did attending Coaching Mindsets get you all fired up about how coaching skills can help you improve your working relationships? But maybe practising your new found skills has fallen to the bottom of your to do list, or you feel you need more guidance in honing those skills in practice? In this half-day supplementary session, leadership coach and consultant Liz Whitney will explore how you put your new coaching skills into practice in the work environment as a leader. 
 
What will be covered? 

  • Problems with coaching at work - sharing the challenges people are experiencing putting their coaching skills into action

  • Setting the foundations for coaching - time, boundaries, permission

  • Goal setting; why do it, intrinsic vs extrinsic motivation, tracking and reviewing, long term and short term goals (plus practice setting goals with each other)

How will the session be structured?

The workshop will combine a mix of moderated conversations with fellow leaders, followed by an opportunity to apply and practice in smaller groups.

Who is it for? 

For those who’ve completed the Coaching Mindsets workshop and now want to know more about how to put the skills learned into practice. If you have a basic understanding of coaching from a different course and want to attend, then please get in touch so we can assess if this session would be useful.

As part of our Leading Now series, this session will be framed for leaders and managers with at least one direct report. Please get in touch below to save yourself a space.
