Leading Now: Leading with Feedback
Workshop | YCN — For our members and programme participants

Feedback is the ultimate learning tool. In this session we'll work on ways to continually and valuably give and receive it, to boost performance and enhance relationships.

In a culture of learning, feedback is a must-have. It's something we must continually improve our ability to share and to absorb at all times. As well as landing it clearly with those around us, we've got to regularly pull it in, rather than waiting for it to be pushed our way. 

Led by coach and consultant Liz Whitney, this pacey and interactive two-hour session is all about getting into the habit of giving valuable feedback in the right way and at the right times, and being prepared to ask for it in return from others to improve our own performance. 

What we'll cover:

• Challenges around giving and receiving feedback
• Frameworks for giving it
• Practicing on live examples
• How to get better at asking for it

The more we ask for feedback from those around us, the more this behaviour will be mirrored by our teams – creating true learning cultures where people are comfortable, collaborative and in control of their communication around performance and behaviour. We'll be exploring and practicing principles to ensure this.

How the session will be structured:

We'll combine discussion, practice and application of new approaches — and in relation to some specific live examples that everyone along will be asked to have in mind. Materials will be shared, along with clear action commitments to ensure what's learned is transferred quickly.

Who the session's for:

As part of our Leading Now series, this session will be framed for leaders and managers with at least one direct report.
