Often the lynchpin of an organisation and the crucial link between the client and the creatives, the role is varied and spans a wide range of skills and responsibilities. Account management is often a balancing act of ensuring projects are delivered to the highest possible standards, whilst managing budgets, timelines and teams.
Each organisation has a slightly different definition of what makes a good account person and, since the boundaries vary from company to company, there’s so much we can learn from each other.
On the evening of 8th May, we’re inviting account directors and account managers from agencies in our network to join and engage in a conversation around the skills needed to be successful in account management today, all over some drinks and a bite to eat at our Rivington Rooms space.
We’ll be asking and sharing on how we can best balance the hard skills (project management, resourcing, budgeting) and soft skills (emotional intelligence, managing upwards, building relationships with clients) and we’ll exchange stories and suggestions to help you improve in your role.
