Design for Breakfast: Heidi Lightfoot
Talk | Dishoom Carnaby Street — For our members

Our next design-led conversation will be with Co-Founder and Creative Director of Together Design, Heidi Lightfoot.

We've enjoyed hearing from a feast of design-driven entrepreneurs in the comfort of the conservatory at Dishoom's Kingly St eatery — from Wagamama founder Alan Yau to Suitcase Magazine's Serena Guen. All have generously led conversations around how they built their businesses and the lessons learned along the way. In past events, we've heard from Anisah Osman Britton on how she is changing the coding industry by opening its doors to more women, and from Otegha Uwagba on how she has transformed her professional experiences into a bestselling career guide. Jessica Seaton, of TOAST, shared the story behind how growing a handknitted jumpers business into a multimillion pound brand, while Cubitts' Tom Broughton revealed how design, storytelling and heritage are at the core of his brand of modern British spectacles.

On the morning of Tuesday 11th June you're invited to the next session in the series, when we'll be sitting down with Heidi Lightfoot, Creative Director and Co-Founder of design studio Together. Heidi founded the studio in 2003 alongside friend, and fellow Creative Director, Katja Thielen. Today (and now in their 15th year) the team works from a lovingly converted building in Walthamstow; across arts, education and retail clients —  with a focus on branding and packaging. Alongside design work for their clients, their personal creative outlet is their online gift shop perfectlyputtogether.co.uk where they sell the studio's lifestyle focused inventions.

We're really looking forward to hearing Heidi's stories about beginning and growing a design-led business — and if you'd like to save yourself a seat, and some breakfast, then please drop us a line below.
