We've invited Phil Dobson to visit the Library and share his expertise on neuroscience, and how we can enhance our productivity, creativity, and resilience.
Phil Dobson is the the brains behind The Brain Book, and founder of BrainWorkshops. Phil turns insights from neuroscience and cognitive and behavioural psychology into applicable skills for the modern workplace. His learning programmes provide participants with a brain-based toolkit of practical skills, backed by scientific research, helping them apply what we know about the brain to improve their performance at work.
Informed by his experience as a coach and hypnotherapist, Phil works with businesses all around the world (from the BBC and MTV to Channel 4 and the Financial Times) to help their people to think and work smarter. He's interested in challenging working practices, transforming thinking, and creating sustained shifts in behaviour.
On the evening of 16th July, Phil will be introducing some of the smart thinking from his book and workshops — and giving those along lots to think about and take away on areas like managing stress, improving your sleep and keeping your brain young and adaptable.
