Led by Scriberia co-founder Dan Porter, this session is all about building new skills for capturing, visualising and sharing information in ways that stick.
Dan, and the team at Scriberia, believe that pictures make thinking, working and communicating easier for everyone. If we can simply visualise what we’re hearing, seeing and thinking, then we’ll be better able to share ideas, tell stories and get people on the same page.
Sketchnoting is the practice of making quick and useful picture-notes — whether for use in a presentation or developing our ideas independently. And in the fast moving and visually driven world of work, it’s increasingly recognised as a valuable practical skill: something we can all learn from scratch or add to our existing toolkit. Sketchnoting is for anyone that wants to better capture, absorb and share information in fresher and more motivating ways.
On the morning of Wednesday 9th October, Dan will be enabling us to do just that. We’ll leave the workshop inspired and equipped to start using sketchnoting as an everyday learning tool for ourselves and our teams.
How will the session be structured?
• Over 90 minutes Dan will take us through a series of simple hands-on exercises that reveal, step-by-step, how to sketchnote live presentations and written content.
• We’ll cover visual recording and mapping techniques to prioritise key points, organise them and make them memorable.
• We’ll discover how to present concepts in clear and eye-catching ways, distilling our thinking down so that it’s easy for others to grasp.
