At this autumnal reading list event we'll learn what's inspired Jamie's diverse, collaborative and multi-disciplinary work and it's link to his professional practice today.
"Jamie Catto is kind, wise, open, boundlessly energetic, optimistic and passionate. I adore him."— Stephen Fry
We're looking forward to welcoming Jamie to the library in October, the latest in a series of generous thinkers and doers to contribute a selection of six books to our shelves — all free for you to borrow thereafter.
Following in the footsteps of figures from the worlds of business, design, the arts and beyond, from Cath Kidston to Quentin Blake, Alison Lloyd to Alan Rusbridger; Jamie will talk us through six of his reading recommendations — setting them in the context of his life, work and ideas to-date.
A founding member of the band Faithless, and multi-award-winning film company 1 Giant Leap; Jamie has combined his passions for music and film, collaborating far and wide on projects with the likes of Michael Stipe, Brian Eno, Kurt Vonnegut and Douglas Coupland. Today he draws from the wisdom and techniques encountered over decades of creative voyages to enable professional and personal breakthroughs.
