We'll hear from a panel of workplace wellness experts to examine the benefits and challenges of health and wellbeing initiatives at work.
We all want to be healthy and feel well, and know the impact our wellbeing has on the quality of our lives and therefore our work-lives. We are being told there is an epidemic of stress in modern life, with work often sited as a key cause, as well as the perils of a sedentary office based lifestyle on our health.
So it’s no wonder that the Wellness industry is now worth over £500bn globally, marketing products and strategies which promise far reaching (and sometimes far fetched) benefits, from looking younger to being more productive. Reflecting this wider trend, many businesses now have some sort of offer to support the wellbeing of staff— from gym memberships to in-house mental health coaches, yoga and mindfulness classes to free kombucha. But what sort of impact are these initiatives actually having? And can they mask toxic work cultures or create passive employees?
On Thursday 26th September we will gather a group of experts to critically examine if workplace wellness is working, exploring how’s best for businesses to engage meaningfully with the health and happiness of they employees.
Panelists will be confirmed shortly. Please get in touch below to save yourself a spot.
