In this punchy, remote session, speed reading expert Greg Tyndall will take us through proven approaches for faster and more effective reading.
We live in an age of information overload. Keeping up with all we could possibliy read is a constant battle; whether briefings at work, or books at bedtime. Speed reading expert Greg Tyndall believes many of us are poorly equipped to cope, having been taught to read only once in our lives when children. And when we read at work, we can both take too long and also poorly recall what we have just read. Worse still, we often lose our concentration, letting our minds wander and drift beyond what's on the page.
Like any other skill, our ability to effectively reading can be significantly improved. In fact our reading speeds can be permanently doubled, with accuracy and retention improving at the same time. And in this practical, lunchtime sessiomn led by Greg remotely on Zoom — we'll learn how; picking up new tools and techniqiues to transfer to whatever we're reading next.
In this remote session we will:
• Have our reading speed and comprehension measured
• Identify typical bad habits in reading
• Learn tips and techniques for overcoming these habits
• Discover the art of the possible in terms of our reading speed
How the session will be structured:
We'll begin and end with a diagnostic to measure our reading speed and comprehensio; with Greg's expert instruction in-between ensuring there's a marked improvement in the latter.
Who the session is for:
Anyone interested in learning more about the principles of speed reading, and looking for pracitcal ways to be faster and more effective at it.
