Smarter questions can transform the way we communicate. And that's the purpose of this remote session — to enable better questioning, for more influence and better outcomes.
Great questions can move us forward in all areas of our lives, and for some people, questioning comes easy. But many of us don't ask enough questions, or frame our inquiries in the best possible way to get the best responses from those around us.
At work we’re often presented with situations that make us feel stuck — whether that's getting to the root of a creative idea we can’t quite define, or tackling a recurring problem with a colleague. The right question at the the right time can remove barriers, offer new perspectives and give us the breakthroughs we need.
In this practical two-hour workshop, delivered remotely on Zoom, and led by a coach facilitator from the YCN team — we’ll draw from coaching theory to break down the questioning process, and examining the questions we need to ask of our approach to questioning: Why are we asking them, what do we want and how can we get there?
What we’ll cover:
• Establishing the why in the questions we pose
• Open Vs Closed questions
• Asking the right question for the right time
• Unlearning our 'fix it’ habits
• Untangling our wants and needs
How the session will be structured:
Coming together as a group on Zoom, we'll combine instruction, discussion and application of new tools and techniques together.
Who is the session for:
Anyone who wants to improve the quality of their questions and conversations, and challenge the way they think.
