Open your imagination to some diverse and empowering thinking, drawn from some of the best known brands on the planet.
Richard Buchanan and Jonathan Hubbard are the minds behind ‘Wild Thinking’, a collection of 25 unconventional Q&As posed to leading global brands; and provoking us to think differently. Richard and Jonathan work at The Clearing, a brand consultancy where bright minds do smart things for businesses big and small.
For their newly published book, they've had conversations far and wide; whether with tech stars like Google and Dropbox, or cultural institutions like Comic Relief and The National Trust. Each has ended with a single-minded point of view to help us consider our own businesses from a fresh perspective and shed new light on old challenges.
Who is McLaren's greatest nemesis?
What disappoints Ocado about their competitors?
What wakes Google up at 4am?
Why does Wimbledon sweat the small stuff?
With complementary posers like “What would be worse: customers not taking your brand seriously, or finding you boring?” and “If your brand took a lie detector test, what would the most nerve-racking question would be”, Richard and Jonathan have dug deep into the inner workings of business, and are out to convince us that we'll all benefit from lateral learning and a hearty dose of reflection too.
On the evening of 26th November, in the Library here at YCN, they'll share their passion for this ‘Wild Thinking’, expand on what they've captured and present us with lessons that we can all apply ourselves.
