Yoga for Work: Calm for the festive season
| YCN Rivington Rooms — For our members and programme participants

A 90 minute yoga practice to soothe the body, calm the mind and reevaluate your approach to the festive season.

December, a month of festivities, frivolity and family. Even if you love the festive season it is easy to feel a bit overwhelmed and exhausted by the time Christmas Day is here. On Tuesday 17th December join Ella at YCN Rivington Rooms for a 90 minute yoga practice to strengthen and soothe the body, quieten the mind and find some calm respite to get you through the festive season.

There are many well-known benefits of physical yoga practice, whether it's stress reduction, increased energy and focus, or a stronger body. Taking a small amount of time out of our busy weeks to move and breathe can make all the difference, and equally benefit our work as well as other areas of our life.

What we’ll cover:

- A physical Flow and Restore yoga practice designed to energise and reset the body and mind.

- Exploring how we relate to the festive season through thinking about ideas related to winter, giving and receiving and conserving energy.

How the session will be structured:

Over 90 minutes, the session will follow a traditional yoga class format with participants practising a series of guided movements and postures, including some meditation and pranayama (breath work). For this longer session there will also be some time for self reflection and journalling, and brunch will be served afterwards.

Who the session is for:

Anyone who is curious about how yoga could benefit their work and life. The session is open to all levels of experience, with beginners and those who have never practised before very welcome.

Drop us a line below if you'd like to save yourself a mat.

This session will be led by Ella Reynolds — Programme Manager at YCN. Ella is also a 250hr Yoga Alliance certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, and a 40hr certified Mindfulness meditation teacher. After having practised yoga for over ten years, she is now interested in teaching in order to share the benefits with others, with a strong belief that yoga should be for everyone.
