If you know you deserve to be heard, and want to make a difference —actively working on your influencing skills is important.
If you are unable to influence you can't create anything good in the world. With positive influence, we get our fair share and we get to inspire change in others.
But today, the notion of influence often has a bad rap — and so it helps to reframe our thinking around it. We don’t need to think less of ourselves, we need to think about ourselves less. With more purposeful perspective taking, we shed our limiting beliefs and make our ideas more important to other people.
In this punchy, and practical session we'll discover, try out — and then transfer — a variety of techniques for more purposeful and impactful influence on all of those around us.
What we'll cover:
• Characteristics of the influential
• Finding win-wins, quickly
• Listening to understand
• Framing and the power of metaphor
• Defining an influencing strategy
How the session will be structured:
We'll share observationas and strategies for influence, with guided discussion and practical application individually and as a group.
Who the session's for:
Anyone who wants to become more influential, and keen to try out new approaches among peers.
