We'll explore what it means to apply a coaching mindset, and the positive impact that can have to our most important conversations and relationships.
Note: This session is intended for people-managers.
In these ever-changing times, there's an increased emphasis on purposeful, continual communication. Building the principles of coaching into our day-to-day working relationships can have a huge impact on people's performance and wellbeing. Coaching provides a powerful, purposeful tool for enabling people and teams to perform at their peak.
When applying a coaching mindset, skills like attunment, questioning, listening and the raising of self-awareness in others come to the fore— and it's these we'll explore through this ongoing series of 'Coaching Conversations'. You're invited to join an invigorating and social experience, delivered remotely among like-minded peers — and that will help you bring out the best in yourself and others.
What we'll cover:
• The concept of coaching and a coaching mindset
• Coaching feedback
• The balance of questioning and listening
• Fundamental principles of relational attunement
How the session will be structured:
Led by an accredited YCN coach, we'll combine instruction and group discussion with the practical application of new ideas — and reflection around them. You'll be working together at points in smaller groups, coaching each other in relation to individual and collective challenges. So it's part training session, and part peer coaching group. Learning by doing, among a supportive community of peers.
Who the session is for:
People-managers looking to enrich their coaching capabilities in a supportive space, sharing their experiences and perspectives with others.
