Wake Up. Cultivating Compassion, with Ella Reynolds
Remote learning | For our partners' teams

Begin your week with the health and happiness of others as your focus, in this short guided morning session.

When our regular routines are disrupted the stability we find in our daily practices becomes all the more important. And with many of us now working from home, we’re faced with a different set of distractions and its easy to feel scattered, caught between the tangle of tasks competing for our attention. With our screen time increasing, and digital communication on the up, coming back to our bodies is something that can help us to reset, recharge and relax.

Those familiar with meditation may have come across the practice of Lovingkindness (translated from the Pali Metta) meaning an active interest in the wellbeing of others, goodwill and compassion. For now, we're living in closer-quarters; kids might be driving us up the wall, or perhaps housemates mean time alone is at a premium — as well as the wider behaviour of others in society being under greater scrutiny and judgement. This purposeful practice helps us to remember that we’re all in this together, with similar fears, hopes and the right to thrive and live with ease.

In this focused and calming 30 minute virtual session, yoga and meditation teacher Ella, will lead us through a guided meditation practice to explore how we can build more compassion —  to start our week with the health and happiness of others as our focus.
