Be: Calm and Centered
Remote learning | For our partners' teams

Drawing on a variety of movement practices, you'll learn simple and purposeful exercises for keeping calm, present and focussed.

When our regular routines are disrupted the stability we find in our daily practices becomes all the more important. And with many of us now working from home, we’re faced with a different set of distractions and its easy to feel scattered, caught between the tangle of tasks competing for our attention. With our screen time increasing, and digital communication on the up, coming back to our bodies is something that can help us to reset, recharge and relax.

This 30 minute, virtual session is designed to counter these real challenges, and support your wellbeing.

Those familiar with yoga or mindfulness practices will have come across the concept of centering —  a simple, grounding technique to managing our own state; a way of getting ourselves together so that we're more focussed and effective at whatever we'e working on. Centering ourselves is about finding control. It helps us bring calm to our emotions and balance in our bodies when we’re feeling distracted or disconnected. It's one of the best ways to improve our concentration, feel connected and have more conscious conversations.

In this focussed, energising 30 minute virtual workshop, Katy Kent — a Vinyasa Yoga teacher and Level 3 Advanced Personal Trainer, will lead us through some simple exercises to invite more calm and concentration into our working days.
