In today’s fast moving, uncertain and ambiguous world; where pressure can spring from unforeseen situations – it can feel like there’s never time to truly switch off and relax. But the research, and practice of James Reeves and Gabrielle Brown show how solutions to these perpetual challenges are more within reach than we might think.
James and Gabrielle are the co-authors of The Book of Rest: Stop Striving, Start Being. James is also Europe’s leading expert in Yoga Nidra, also known as “sleep yoga,” which enables a transformative state of deep relaxation. Together they run the Oxfordshire based yoga school Restful Being — working with the likes of Oxford University, Oxfam, and an array private clients who speak about the balance and clarity the practices have brought them.
In this interactive and conversational session, guided by the challenges and questions of those who join; James and Gabrielle will share simple and practical techniques from their book and professional experience that will help us more readily find moments of peace, and paths to calm. The session will start with a discussion and Q&A, followed by a twenty minute Yoga Nidra practice, led by James.
