Take your listening skills to the next level, for transformative impact on your most important relationships.
"I never found out much by listening to myself."
Robert Mitchum, in Out of the Past
People want to be heard more than people want to be right. And so active, attentive and practiced listening skils will lead to stronger and more empathetic relationships, and in turn to new ideas and perspectives.
From quietening our inner-interrupters, to calibrating our questions; listening for metaphor to signalling with our bodies — this interactive, online session is all about discovering practical and highly effective ways to take our ability to listen to the next level, and so enriching our interactions with all of those around us.
What we'll cover:
• What stops us from listening
• Levels of listening, and tools for moving through them.
• The key things we should be listening for
• How to ask great questions, and playing back what we hear
• Finding fanatical focus
How the session will be structured:
Expect an energising mix of instruction, discussion and putting new approaches into glorious practice right away.
Who the session's for:
Anyone looking to supersize their listening skills among a supportive group of peers.
