Together, we'll learn ways to immediately increase our presence and impact in virtual meetings and presentations.
Running online meetings and delivering presentations virtually brings a unique set of challenges.
Even with the best intentions, the minute that more than two people dial in to a call — productivity and effectiveness is challenged. And there are many reasons why — technology can be glitchy, participants are more inclined to multi-task (reaching for their mobile, rather than focussing on your brilliant presentation), managing energy is difficult and it's far too easy for people to start to zone out.
But the good news is there's lots we can be doing to up our impact in these virtual environments; helping our audiences to stay 'in the room' and giving our ideas a fighting chance of being engaged with. And in this session — led by business consultant and trained actress Catherine Allison — we'll introduce, and work through some smart approaches with purpose, putting them into practice right away.
What we'll cover:
• Using body language in virtual and video based spaces
• Structuring our messages for greater clarity
• Building real rapport in virtual environments
• Active listening principles
• How to manage and maintain energy, avoiding 'Zoom fatigue'
How the session will be structured:
Expect an pacey mix of expert instruction with some group discussion — and plenty of trying our practical new approaches there and then.
Who the session's for:
Anyone keen to increase their presence and impact in virtual presentations and meetings, and to learn among a like-minded group of peers.
