Decision Lab: How to Decide

Decision Lab: How to Decide

In these fast-moving and ambiguous times, how can we ensure we're smartly approaching the key decisions we're faced with? In our Decision Lab, we'll explore and experiment with an array of tools and techniques for better choices.

This punchy, practical and energising session is about examining what influences how we make decisions, and equipping ourselves with mindsets and methods to more confidently approach them, and explain how we've arrived at our decisions to others.

By discussing and practicing some fundamental mental checks, methods and proven approaches to decision making; we can lessen the chance of poor consideration, rushing things or spending too long sweating outcomes with low consequences. There's lots we can learn from others, whether pilots or poker players; and plenty of creative approaches to try for ourselves too — from mind-maps to pre-mortems. Understanding our own default styles of decision making is important, as is a willingness to 'try on different hats' and pull in various perspectives to help shed light on the challenges we face.

A really nice group, which made sharing simple. I loved the snappy tasks during the session, and took away very actionable tips. Love the breakouts and meeting new people too.
