In her new book, We Need to Talk About Money, Otegha Uwagba candidly shares her own financial struggles and successes, inviting us to reflect on our own complicated relationships with money and what they say about the world around us today. In this up-coming conversational session, coach and commercial consultant Louise Hedges will talk with Otegha about the ideas and experiences shared in her book — relating them to her own research and experiences around the role of gender in negotiation, and drawing in the perspectives of those along.

Otegha Uwagba is the author of bestselling career guide, The Little Black Book: A Toolkit For Working Women published in 2017, and Whites: On Race and Other Falsehoods published in 2020. A speaker and brand consultant, Otegha also hosts the Good Company podcast and founded Women Who, a media platform aiming to help women think, work, and live better.

A thought-provoking and personal account of the ups and downs wrought by money, her new book, We Need to Talk About Money, presents a collection of stories, challenges and relational issues that will be familiar to most monetarily. Drawing from experiences of toxic workplaces, pay rise uncertainty and transparency about wealth lacking in friendships, Otegha challenges our thinking about class, privilege, racism and relationships.

On the morning of the 30th of September, we'll welcome Otegha for a short virtual session, led by Louise Hedges and unpacking key ideas raised in We Need to Talk About Money. As a coach and commercial consultant to partners ranging from Dice to Pretty Green, Louise has given lots of thought to how gender impacts financial conversations (particularly its role in negotiations) and will be able to reflect and reveal some of this within the conversation.

We'd love to have you along.
