Newington estate has enlisted Lantern to overhaul its visual identity, helping involve the community with regeneration.
With bold colours and punchy slogans, Lantern emphasised how community led organisation Newington Big Local has an open approach to estate regeneration with their resident-led initiatives. The neighbourhood of Newington, near Ramsgate, received a £1million investment from the National Lottery Fund in 2014, which has since been managed by a team of local residents to revitalise green spaces and set up a local bank.
To communicate its energy and inclusive ethos, Lantern has simplified copy to clearly communicate that Newington is integrally a ‘Community Of Enablers’. Its designs have been applied across Newington's branding, appearing both in print and online, and across a range of promotional material including flyers, postcards and T-shirts.
