Member Scriberia has created a playful animation to showcase The Climate Finance Accelerator, and how it can help to deliver a greener future.

In 2015, 195 countries signed the Paris Agreement – committing to playing their part in reducing carbon emissions. However, due to a lack of investment from financial institutions, countries in the developing world often struggle to make the same pledge.

In light of this, Deutsche Asset Management has designed a new model of investment to help increase funding to these countries: The Climate Finance Accelerator. And to encourage other financial solutions to replicate it globally, the institution commissioned member Scriberia to create a short video to explain the model, and why it is a viable solution for this international problem.

From government officials and policy-makers, to entrepreneurs and Deutsche Bank representatives, Scriberia was tasked with the design of a number of different character sets to address the number of stakeholders involved with the project.

While a ‘broken machine’ visual metaphor represents the failures of the current system, the final animation comprises a series of playful, foolproof illustrations that follow the story of a green entrepreneur who puts his solar-panel project into action with the help the model.
