We're currently recruiting for a number of positions; including a Programme Manager, Head of Learning Partnerships and Coach Facilitator.

Programme Manager

We’ve an immediate, full-time opening at YCN for you to shape and manage the delivery of purposeful and loved learning and development programmes for teams within some of the most creatively-driven, and growth oriented organisations around today. You'll be helping people to build capability and fulfil their goals in modern and motivating ways; connecting them with like-minds from within retailers like Lush and Dr.Martens, tech companies like WeTransfer and Bulb, creative studios like Koto and forpeople and vital charities like Greenpeace and Scope.

As a Programme Manager you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and enabling the whole learning experience, and be a key point of contact for clients and collaborators alike.

Us

Established in 2001, YCN (You Can Now) is a learning network. We help creatively-driven organisations build the capability they need to achieve their goals. And we engage throughout their teams, from the leaders at the top to their newest recruits.

We design and deliver a year round programme of bite-sized workshops, courses, talks and other energising learning experiences that bring together people to build their skills around the challenges of the day. That could be helping them build their wellbeing and resilience, sharpen their influencing skills or master modern management methods. Everything we programme reflects the very latest capability challenges of our community.

And alongside our pioneering cross-organisational programmes, we take learning directly into our partners' places of work around the world, engaging their teams around specific cultural, learning and performance goals. Along the way we collaborate with the best subject matter experts, learning designers, coaches and facilitators to ensure a consistent standard of excellence in all we deliver. Over 95% of participants in YCN sessions feedback that they have have learned something they can immediately apply to their work and that they would recommend the session to someone else. And over 90% of our clients continue to work with us year-on-year.

Our commercial ambition is matched by a social one. Through partnerships with organisations such as Peabody and the London Community Foundation we run learning programmes that help community groups to build the capacity needed to deliver their services – whether organising mentor matches with experts from across our network, or providing free training around urgent skills requirements.

The Programme Manager opening

As a Programme Manager at YCN you will be central to the ongoing management and delivery of these learning experiences, both within our open programme and for tailored client projects too. The role will be varied, challenging and stimulating. Today, you could be contributing and researching ideas for inspiring speakers and experts around seasonal themes in our core programme, working with a leading hospitality group to shape and deliver a day long internal learning festival to challenge thinking around employee wellbeing for World Mental Health Day, or managing a group of coach-facilitators delivering of an ongoing series of bite-sized workshops to a big client in Amsterdam. You'll be comfortable working independently and also collaboratively alongside our clients, a supportive and close-knit central team, and an ever growing family of inspiring external partners.

With your creative, culturally attuned and commercial grounded thinking; and impressive organisational ability, you'll be helping to shape the continued success of our ongoing programmes, as well as directly working with senior clients to scope new tailored programmes and ensure they're delivered in line with expectations. You'll be equally confident contributing creatively to the shape of our programmes, as well as to the planning, scheduling and execution of them; with evident experience of managing budgets and the expectations of clients.

This role could well suit someone from a project management background, keen to expand and develop their skills in a very purposeful and people oriented environment. It will certainly suit someone keen to grow in a progressive, mission oriented commercial environment — and energised by the chance to make real, visible and rewarding impact to the development of a super-engaged community of people.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing the planning, scheduling and delivery of learning programmes.
• Continually contributing ideas for what we should be exploring and sharing within our programmes.
• Briefing and co-ordinating coach facilitators and subject experts.
• Introducing events, and facilitating connections and conversations
• Supporting our company culture with energy and ideas.
• Researching potential speakers and practitioners.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Evident enthusiasm for helping others to develop
• A passion for managing and delivering projects and programmes
• A naturally generous and connective way
• Comfort with working quickly, testing and learning.
• A willingness to multi-task and collaborate
• Experience of working with groups and presenting
• Cultural awareness and a good book collection
• An interest in psychology and what makes people tick
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Brilliant all-round people skills
• A growth mindset, curiosity and love for learning
• Lots of books on the go at once

Please first send your CV and a covering letter to YCN Director Nick Defty.

Salary will relate to experience, and the spaces we work from are on Rivington Street in Shoreditch.

If you can draw from the disciplines of coaching and facilitating — and demonstrate the most valuable attributes of both — then we’d love for you to join our central team. You’ll be helping shape and deliver learning experiences for some of the most creatively-driven and growth oriented organisations around today.

Us

Established in 2001, YCN (You Can Now) is a learning network. We help creatively-driven organisations build the capability they need to achieve their goals. And we engage throughout their teams, from the leaders at the top to their newest recruits.

Coach Facilitator opening

We’re looking for someone to bring relevant experience and outlook; to help us shape and deliver learning and capability experiences; both within our core, cross-organisational learning programme and for specific client projects too.

Some good examples of the kind of things you’d work on:

• Delivering workshop sessions on all kinds of topics to cross-organisational groups within our core learning programme. You’d be working from proven session content and structures; and then evolving it to work even harder with your own spin and expertise.

• Shaping and delivering two day’s worth of content for a global leadership development event for a major retailer’s senior management team; partnering with other collaborators to run focussed 90 minute workshops, moderate roundtable discussions and supporting groups through whole team exercises.

• Facilitating a series of ‘live learning’ sessions with marketers from a leading insurance company; enabling them to build new skills in collaborative working in relation to specific current business challenges they’re facing.

• Running an ongoing series of sessions for a group of agency founders, creating a space for them to share and discuss individual and common challenges.

• Delivering a series of skills focussed workshops for a group of apprentices at a national newspaper; blending group discussion with the introduction of topic specific exercises on things like managing upwards or networking.

• Taking the leadership team of an NHS subsidiary through a series of established workshop formats to arrive at a renewed mission statement.

You:

As our ideal candidate you’ll have:

— Clearly evident experience from previous experiences working with senior teams from big businesses.

— Coaching and facilitation credentials, although that needn't be a formal coaching certification.

— Ideas for how to continually improve the content and resources you help to shape and deliver.

— A willingness to support client acquisition by bringing your energy and expertise to key meetings.

— The ability to help clients understand how best to achieve their goals

— A want to empower more junior members of the team with your knowledge and mentoring.

— Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

— A passion for learning and unlocking the potential to learn in others.

— A mission driven outlook and growth mindset.

— Buckets of energy with which to motivate everyone around you.
