A brand called You
We'll explore the concept and value of a personal brand, and work through a practical, purposeful and proven approach to defining our own — connecting it to our strengths, goals and things that energise us.
Considering, and defining a strong personal brand, can help us in various ways. It enables valuable reflection, requires open and insightful conversations with those around us and forces our focus firmly on our strengths, and future goals. Once defined, and habitually recalled, it brings us into contact with the people and opportunities that can get us closer to where we want to go — and helps us to work out which opportunities are best left altogether.
In this session, we'll first explore the principles and purpose of personal branding, before introducing a process we've developed and sharpened at YCN through work with various leadership teams keen for greater, more intentional, impact.
We'll work through some of the process together in the session, with follow-up exercises and actions shared to keep going with. The outcome will be a memorable two-word personal brand expression, and a 'so that' statement' that connects your personal brand with the impact you want to make on the world around you.
What we'll cover:
• The practical purpose of personal brand
• Linking your brand to your strengths, goals and sources of energy
• Identifying strengths through curious conversations
• A stepped process for defining you own personal brand expression
• Connecting your expression to a 'so that' impact statement
• Bringing your brand to life
How the session will be structured:
We'll explore some thinking on the essence of a personal, leadership brand, and how we can measure the value of one in our work and lives. From there we'll introduce a series of reflections and exercises; some of which you'll work through in the session, and others which you'll be tasked to take forward after it.
Who the session is for:
