Knowing more about neurodiversity, with Dr. Anne Cockayne

"To meet the unforeseeable challenges racing towards us in the 21st century, we will need many kinds of minds working together." — Steve Silberman, author of NeuroTribes
Diversity & Inclusion
Tuesday 11 May
4:00pm5:30pm UK time

The purpose of this session is to introduce the concept of neurodiversity, and to explore practical approaches to behavioural and environmental adjustments that will better support neurodivergent colleagues — and ultimately benefit everyone in teams too.

Join us for an interactive and enlightening session, led by Dr. Anne Cockayne, in which we'll build awareness about the concept of neurodiversity, explore specific aspects of neurodivergence, and equip ourselves with practical knowledge to enable better neuroinclusion within our teams.

The session will draw on Anne's extensive work in the field and PHD research into the relationships between managers and autistic team members; and also emphasise the strengths and challenges experienced by people with other neurodivergent conditions including ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia.

Together we'll learn about the neurodiversity paradigm, neurodiverse characteristics and strengths, explore situations relating to neurodiversity at work — as well as stimulating our thinking on the adjustments we can all make to become more neuroinclusive and create more open and inclusive cultures for the benefit of everyone.
